Object Description
White wool manta (maiden shawl) with red and blue borders. Commerically processed aniline-dyed black, white and red s-spun wool. Typical of Pueblo maiden shawls with a broad white horizontal band in the center, with a black border on both ends and separated from white interior by broad red horizontal band with two thin white lines in each red panel. The ends have been rolled and machine-stitched with hemming tape. Side selvages have been left as woven. Length: 93.5 cm, Width: 199.3 cm, Depth: .5cm. Thread count: 4 ends/cm warp, 10 ends/cm weft. Excellent Condition.
